Former Arsenal glory, Emmanuel Petit is currently a consultant for English television on the side of Sky Sports. Present this Monday during Chelsea's success against Wolverhampton (3-1) to cover the match, the 1998 World Champion unfortunately showed up with quite a mistake on the screen. In the show Monday Night Footballwhile remembering his good times spent at Highbury, Emmanuel Petit paid tribute to his former Gunners coach Pat Rice, the former assistant to Arsène Wenger: “He also fought with Pat Rice, rest in peace Pat.»

However, Pat Rice is very much alive at the age of 75. David Jones, the presenter of the show immediately corrected him: “I have good news, Pat Rice sends you his best wishes. He's not really gone. He is alive and in great shape.» Good news in the end which earned laughter from Jamie Carragher and apologies from Emmanuel Petit: “I'm sorry ! Sorry Pat. I'm confused. I'm so sorry Pat. Pat, I made a mistake, sorry.”
