Barely retired from the field, Raphaël Varane is already making his experience available to new generations. The former Real Madrid central defender, who arrived in Como this summer more in the role of ambassador than player after his serious injury, retired during the season, and now occupies the role of occasional educator for the club football school. He intervenes during specific initiatives, and now makes himself available more frequently for “Varane courses”a summer camp system in place since 2019.
“I have accumulated a lot of experience in football and one of the most important values I have learned is resilience: I think it is fundamental to have mental strength and confidence, but it is just as important to share your knowledge and communicate, both within the club and with the community around it”declared the 2018 world champion to justify his choice. A new career that will take him to the benches of big clubs?
