Saliba, a first verdict has been reached!

The match between Arsenal and Aston Villa (2-2) played this Saturday at the Emirates Stadium was marked by a notable absence in the ranks of the Gunners, that of William Saliba. The French central defender was unavailable due to an injury described as “minor”.

After this confrontation against the Villans, coach Mikel Arteta, however, showed concern about the state of health of his defensive pillar. “We are worried, very worried. We will have more information. Another test will be carried out on him and we will see,” confided the Spaniard in the mixed zone.

Saliba back against Manchester City?

However, the Arsenal manager and supporters can breathe a sigh of relief. According to information revealed by The TeamSaliba suffers from a hamstring muscle problem which should only keep him away from the green rectangle for around two weeks.

The 2022 world vice-champion would thus miss the last two matches of the league phase of the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb this Wednesday and against Girona on January 29. In the Premier League, he would also be absent during the match against Wolverhampton, scheduled for January 25, but could return for the clash against Manchester City on February 2.
