Man City returns to form just before Paris

It was the scenario that Paris Saint-Germain supporters feared. A few days before its trip to the Parc des Princes in the Champions League, capital for both teams, Manchester City has found color.

We won't go so far as to say that Pep Guardiola's team is healed, since they again let slip two points this week against Brentford (2-2) while leading 2-0 a few minutes from the END. But the Skyblues won their third success in four days by winning largely on the Ipswich pitch (0-6).

After a balanced first half hour, the reigning champion hurt the promoted team very badly in a few minutes. Phil Foden (27th) and Mateo Kovacic (30th) found the fault, and Foden signed a new double just before the break (42nd). Returning from the locker room, Kevin De Bruyne signed his third assist of the evening by launching Jérémy Doku (49th), while Erling Haaland celebrated his contract extension with a small goal (57th).

Guardiola was able to take advantage of the opportunity to rotate, the young James McAtee scored his first goal in the Premier League (69th), and Man City could not dream of better than this success which puts them back in fourth place in the standings. It's time to go to Paris now, in a clash between two teams who are very far from having ensured their qualification for the Champions League play-offs…
