Big transfer in sight for OL!

This is a new twist in the Olympique Lyonnais transfer window, and in the club's financial affairs. The transfer of a player is announced, for an amount of more than 33 million euros. And this will not affect Pierre Sage's team in any way.

We are indeed talking about Luiz Henrique. The Brazilian international has been playing in recent months for Botafogo, where he was bought for 16 million euros in February 2024. The former Betis player should return to Europe, since he is expected at Zenit Saint Petersburg .

Luiz Henrique, that’s it for OL

How does this concern OL? Botafogo is John Textor's other big club and L'Equipe indicates that the player's sporting rights belong to the Rhone team. The money from the transfer (33 million euros and 2 million euros in bonuses) will therefore go into the coffers of Les Gones, who are still in the sights of the DNCG.

With this great financial transaction, OL could thus afford to keep Ernest Nuamah, adds L'Equipe. The Ghanaian is being courted by Everton, but the recruitment ban imposed on OL prevents them from finding a replacement.
