Things are going badly in Rennes. In difficulty in the championship, Jorge Sampaoli’s men were pitifully knocked out of the Coupe de France this Wednesday evening by Troyes (1-0). Thanks to a goal from Rafiki Said (56e), ESTAC joins the 8e final for the first time since the 2017/2018 season. The Bretons, who have failed everything, are getting bogged down in the crisis.

In the 100% Ligue 1 poster, Brest dominated FC Nantes (2-1). Eric Roy’s troops, who had control over a large part of the match, took the lead thanks to Sima (24e) and Chardonnet (34e). But the Brestois were close to being joined by the Canaries reinvigorated by the coaching of Antoine Kombouaré. Guirassy revived Nantes’ hopes, but it was not enough.

It works for Strasbourg, Angers and Toulouse

At the same time, Angers, Strasbourg and Toulouse validated their ticket for the 8e of final. The Angevins won on the QRM field (2-3), the Strasbourgers were pushed to penalties by the residents of N3, Thaon (2-2, 3-5 tab), while Toulouse dominated Laval ( 2-1).

Also note the elimination of Lorient, beaten by Cannes (2-1), and Annecy, eliminated on penalties by Stade Briochin (2-2, 4-3 tab).
