But their brief renaissance, after three consecutive victories in all competitions, was undermined when they dropped points at Brentford. And it seems City’s struggles are really getting to Guardiola, judging by these kinds of reactions.
Guardiola hopes sixth-placed City can return to winning ways when they visit lowly Ipswich Town in their next Premier League encounter on Sunday.
