We had Manchester City, who wanted to follow up with a third success in a row in the league and confirm their renewed form. We thought it was going to be done, since City led 2-1 on the Brentford pitch ten minutes from time, thanks to a double from Phil Foden. But Yoane Wissa (82nd) then Christian Norgaard in the 90th + 2 allowed the Bees to equalize and end the match with a 2-2. Manchester City therefore does not definitively dispel doubts and falls to sixth in the table.
For their part, Chelsea retained fourth place with this 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. Cole Palmer had put the Blues in front quite quickly (13th), but the Cherries reacted well after the break, with Kluivert’s equalizer on a penalty (50th) then Semenyo’s winning goal (68th). James was able to equalize at the very end of the game (2-2), but this is the fifth match in a row without a victory for Enzo Maresca’s team in the league. Finally, the London derby between West Ham and Fulham ended with a 3-2 success for the Hammers with a goal from Carlos Soler in particular.
