For several hours, Arsenal has been holding its breath for Gabriel Jesus. In great form recently (6 goals in the last 7 matches), the Brazilian striker was taken off on a stretcher in the 40th minute of the FA Cup match against Manchester United last Sunday (2-2, 5-3 tab ). Bad news for the Gunners who feared the worst for the 27-year-old striker. And the situation was confirmed this Tuesday through a medical press release which confirmed the worst for the defector from Manchester City:
“After being substituted in the match against Manchester United on Sunday, Gabriel Jesus underwent extensive examinations, scans and specialist tests which confirmed he was suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee. Gabby will have surgery in the coming days and will soon begin her recovery and rehabilitation program.
