An agreement in principle was reached this Monday between PSG and Napoli for the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Details. That’s all that remains to be done to see Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrive in Paris in the coming days. Still at the rumor stage at the opening of the transfer window, PSG’s interest in the Neapolitan suddenly materialized over the past week, to the point of reaching an agreement in principle between the two clubs concerned this Monday.

The discussions held today were fruitful, and according to L’Equipe a deal was found for a transfer worth 70 million euros – excluding bonuses. The signing of the contract now depends on only two things: the conclusions of course of the medical examination of the 23-year-old Georgian and the prior agreement as to the financial terms of the transaction.

Discussions still ongoing for Duran

Executives and legal departments still need to agree on financial details. Kvaratskhelia (23 years old, under contract until June 2027) has not yet been authorized by his management to travel to the French capital to undergo his medical examination. Both parties assured Monday evening that the management of these details was only a matter of time
», notes this Monday evening L’Equipe.

To achieve such progress, PSG had to align with the demands of Napoli, always tough in business. The promised arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in Paris does not, however, put an end to the alleged negotiations between PSG and Aston Villa for Colombian striker Jhon Duran. The latter, however, is not expected to leave Birmingham before next summer.
