Rashford has been sidelined by Manchester United in recent weeks after Amorim ostracized the 27-year-old shortly after his arrival. The move prompted Rashford to announce his desire to take on a new challenge away from the club. Amorim has kept Rashford out of the Red Devils team in six of their last seven matches, with just one appearance from the bench, including in the recent win over Arsenal in the FA Cup.
The transfer mill has been running at full speed and it has been widely reported that AC Milan and Barcelona are two clubs interested in signing Rashford in January – either on loan with an option to buy or on a permanent transfer. Amorim has now revealed he is unsure what the future holds for the England international, who is also followed by PSG.
Rashford, the start is getting closer
Speaking to the media after United’s FA Cup win over Arsenal, Amorim said: ” I don’t know. We’ll see. He’s a Manchester United player. We’ll see. He must work.
“He has to represent his club and he loves his club but I have to make choices. I’ve talked before about how I make these choices. That’s how it is. Let’s move on, let’s see the next match and like I said, I have to make a selection. »
It is likely that Rashford will not represent Manchester United until at least the end of the January transfer window. If the 27-year-old stays at Old Trafford, there is a chance he will be reinstated into the squad and regain the trust of his manager.
