The charismatic Manchester City head coach was caught in the midst of a furious tantrum, telling those holding the memorabilia that they must “ go to school » before asking what their dreams were to try to put an end to their agitation.
Guardiola said: “ Don’t come back, I won’t sign again, I know your faces. Go to school and get ready, you are young, don’t waste your time here. Do you want to live your life doing this? Honestly ? Do you want to spend the rest of your life doing this? Prepare yourself better, dammit. What are your dreams? Practice! »
Guardiola very annoyed
Guardiola will no doubt have no problem signing things for fans who are there just to meet him and create a memory, but there is a growing trend of people regularly seeking autographs from famous faces, before reselling the items to make a profit. Most of the time, fans wait outside training grounds and flag players as they leave, only to list their signatures online a few hours later.
The incident will not distract Guardiola from his day job and he will focus on City’s trip to Brentford in the Premier League on Tuesday. The champions put on a show against Salford in the FA Cup on Saturday, scoring eight goals against their League Two opponents.
