On Saturday, City boss Pep Guardiola revealed the 34-year-old had asked to leave the club and finish his career abroad. Milan are said to be “confident” of signing the England international, but rivals Inter are reportedly considering a loan move for him, reports The Sun.
Walker had a distinguished career, winning numerous trophies at City, making 93 caps for England and establishing a reputation as one of the best defenders of his generation. After everything he has done in English football, few would begrudge him ending his career abroad.
Inter think about Walker
The report adds that representatives of Walker, whose contract runs until 2026 at the Etihad, have been in contact with Inter and that a deal is being negotiated.
It remains to be seen whether Walker, who did not feature in City’s 8-0 FA Cup win over Salford City on Saturday, has played his final match for the Premier League side.
