Nunez swapped Benfica for Liverpool in the summer of 2022 for a fee of up to £85m, but it increasingly looks like he won’t justify that huge fee. Despite this, Anfield Watch states that the Uruguay international is still a “valuable asset” at Anfield and is valued at £85million.
Nunez soon in the Pro League?
Nunez has scored just four goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances for Liverpool this season, with Reds manager Arne Slot giving the 25-year-old just 10 starts in all competitions. If he continues to be on the fringes of the Reds, a transfer elsewhere could be considered. And with his former Benfica coach Jorge Jesus now at Al-Hilal, a reunion with him is not out of reach.
Nunez, whose contract with Liverpool runs until 2028, has scored 37 goals and made 21 assists for the Merseyside side in 122 appearances in all competitions so far.
