FC Barcelona finally obtained, on a provisional basis, the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second part of the season. After having suffered several refusals from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and LaLiga, the Catalan club received approval from the Superior Sports Council (CSD).
This decision did not fail to provoke a reaction in Spain. It notably provoked the indignation of several players in the football landscape such as Javier Tebas, the president of the Spanish league, and Diego Simeone, the coach of Atlético Madrid.

In this context, Ronald De Boer, former right winger for the Blaugrana (1998-2000), did not hide his dissatisfaction with the current situation of the Barcelona institution. According to him, the Spanish vice-champion has moved away from the values that once made him great.
“It is an extremely sad spectacle that such a beautiful club like Barça continues to be able to cheat,” he judged.
“Coming from what he once was…playing with UNICEF on the jersey. Other clubs play by the rules, trying hard to survive, but Barcelona are allowed to do whatever they want, which is complete nonsense. If it was a business, it would have declared bankruptcy. »
And the Batavian continued: “It’s ridiculous; it became a soap opera. They just want to continue to compete with Madrid and hate the fact that Madrid continues to be successful. »
