FC Barcelona is going through a troubled period behind the scenes. While the file concerning the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor could still give the Blaugrana a cold sweat, the winter transfer window could also shake up the Catalan club. Many rumors in the corridors suggest an interest from Juventus in Ronald Araujo for several days. If the Catalans refuse to give up their player and even rejected an offer of 35 million euros for him, retaining him could become an arduous task.

Having just returned from injury after six months of absence, the central defender has not yet set foot on the pitch this season, since he remained on the sidelines against Leganés and Atlético Madrid. But the Uruguayan could well come and kick the anthill, since, according to information from Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Araujo would have expressed the wish to leave the current third in La Liga.

Araujo wants to leave without delay

Still according to the Catalan media, Ronald Araujo would like to leave this January. The destination of the player trained at Rentistas seems obvious: Juventus. It was at the request of his agent that the Culés examined the Turin offer. But Barça is not giving up: it is asking for 70 million euros to let its player leave, even if it means taking the risk of seeing his value significantly decrease between now and the summer transfer window. At that point, the right-hander will only have one year left on his contract.

From the locker room side, this decision came as a surprise. Araujo reportedly received many questions from his teammates, who are currently in Saudi Arabia to compete in the Spanish Super Cup. But faced with questions from his partners, the 25-year-old would always have given the same answer: he wants to leave.
