Forced to respect its commitments to the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG) to avoid a demotion at the end of the season, theOlympique Lyonnais has been on all fronts since January 1st. After selling their striker Gift Orban, and while awaiting potential major operations between now and the end of this winter window, OL are on the verge of completing a second notable sale.

It concerns midfielder Maxence Caqueret. According to information from L’Équipe, the former French Espoir international could head to Italy in the coming hours. Caqueret would sign with the Como club, who were promoted to Serie A last summer.

A sale for 17 million euros for OL?

L’Equipe specifies that Olympique Lyonnais and the Italian club have agreed on a transfer fee of 17 million euros. A sum which would include various bonuses. The cards would now be in the player’s hands.

The presence of Cesc Fabregas, reference for a whole generation of midfielders, on the Como bench, will be a strong asset to definitively convince Maxence Caqueret. A child of the club, the latter is looking for playing time after being downgraded in the midfield hierarchy.
