Rashford, it gets complicated

The Serie A side are in talks with the Red Devils over a possible temporary move for the England striker, but The Times reports they are only willing to pay half of his salary. United, meanwhile, are demanding that any team hoping to sign him on loan cover the majority of their £325,000-a-week fee.

Even paying half of Rashford’s salary he would become their highest paid player, as Alvaro Morata currently tops the wage bill on £150,000 per week. United could look to send Rashford elsewhere if Milan remain firm, with Napoli and Juventus also interested.

United need to get rid of Rashford before they can bring in new signings to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad. After being left out of the squad in recent weeks, Rashford has said he is ready to move on, but a January move is proving complicated.

Talks between Milan and United are likely to continue as they look to reach an agreement that suits all parties before the end of the month.
