The end of the story between Antoine Griezmann and Atlético Madrid is becoming clearer day by day. After announcing his international retirement at the end of last September, the Mâconnais could well play his last season with the Colchoneros, despite a lease running until June 2026.
According to Marca, “Grizou” could be released from his last year of contract by the Colchoneros if he requests it. The latter would not take a dim view of an early departure of their number 7. Indeed, this would allow the club to reduce its payroll, with the French striker receiving around 12 million euros per year.
Heading to MLS for Griezmann?
One thing, however, seems certain: Antoine Griezmann will leave Atlético at the latest at the end of his contract. To go where? There is little doubt about its future destination. Barring a huge twist, the 2018 world champion will end his career in the United States, where he has always proclaimed his desire to play.
The best passer in the history of the Blues has even already chosen his future club. It would be Los Angeles FC. Within the Californian franchise, “Grizi” would find his two former teammates and friends, Hugo Lloris and Antoine Griezmann. A prospect that would greatly excite the 33-year-old striker.
