Dancing with the Stars is preparing to make its big comeback on TF1. If the launch date has not yet been announced, the first channel is gradually revealing the casting of this 14th edition. Many names have already been announced, including those of actresses Charlotte de Turckheim and Mayane, former Miss France Eve Gilles, host Sophie Davant and Claude Dartois, emblematic Koh-Lanta candidate.
Three renowned athletes or former athletes will also be there. Florent Manaudou was among the first names announced and the multiple Olympic medalist was quickly followed by Adil Rami. And the participation of another world champion was announced this Thursday by TF1. Frank Leboeuf will indeed be among the candidates.
“I wanted to create a couple”
It remains to be seen whether the 98 world champion won his case. Three years ago, the former defender explained that he wanted to participate in the show alongside his wife. “ I almost participated in Dancing with the Stars, with my wife, because she is a dancer. I wanted to create a couple and I suggested that. It had almost been accepted. We even did tests,” he confided to the microphone of RTL.
But the cachet offered by the production did not convince him. “ I don’t forget that I have a status. Televisions have forgotten that there is a status and that you cannot do anything based on your status, your standing. If I say yes to 15,000 euros, and they take someone who has less standing than me, who has just started, how much will we offer them? “, he regretted.
