Since the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi on the bench of Olympique de Marseille, the Marseille club has undergone a real metamorphosis. Thanks to tactical and managerial adjustments, the team has had a string of good performances, as evidenced by its large victory against Le Havre (5-1).

The Italian coach has established a system based on meritocracy, where only performance on the pitch counts. Thus, players like Bilal Nadir and Valentin Rongier were able to establish themselves in the team, while others like Lilian Brassier were excluded.

A new tactical and human impetus

De Zerbi also transformed the playing system, moving from a 4-3-3 to a more dynamic 3-4-2-1. This pattern allows Adrien Rabiot to play in support of Mason Greenwood, repositioned as an offensive creator.

The group also strengthened its links through innovative courses, first in Bouches-du-Rhône, then in Copenhagen, combining intensity and cohesion. The arrival of Luiz Felipe, expected soon, will complete this revolution.
