Dani Olmo’s future takes a surprising turn. While FC Barcelona struggles to resolve its administrative problems, the Spanish attacking midfielder could soon join a major European club to save his season. A temporary solution that could benefit all parties involved.

Currently unregistered from La Liga, Dani Olmo is unable to play in Spain, whether in the league or in European competitions. Despite Barça’s efforts, the player’s registration was blocked by La Liga, which considers that the steps were taken after the deadline. The Catalan club’s attempts with higher authorities, notably the Higher Sports Council (CSD), seem doomed to failure, plunging Olmo into a dead end situation.

A temporary exit door for Dani Olmo

According to information reported by Mundo Deportivo, AC Milan would be ready to offer an innovative solution to Dani Olmo. The Italian club have reportedly offered a six-month contract, allowing the player to finish the season with the Rossoneri before returning to Barca next summer. This temporary transfer, which does not take the form of a classic loan, would satisfy both Barça, AC Milan and the player himself.

Dani Olmo could fly to Italy.

This option is made possible by a contractual clause which would allow Olmo to leave FC Barcelona for free while receiving his salaries until June 2030. Despite this possibility, the player remains loyal to Barça and does not wish to leave the club permanently.

An opportunity for all parties

Joining Milan would offer Dani Olmo an opportunity to return to the field and apply for a place in the national team, a goal impossible to achieve if he remains inactive. For Barça, this temporary solution would make it possible to preserve relations with a key player without compromising his future at the club.

As negotiations progress, this transfer could mark a saving outcome to a difficult situation for Olmo and FC Barcelona.
