The former Chelsea boss is wasting no time. Barely four days after taking office as England coach, Thomas Tuchel was already on deck since this Saturday in London. The German was seen in the stands at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Premier League meeting between Spurs and Newcastle, with particular interest in James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Anthony Gordon. Tuchel was well served, as the last two scored after barely five minutes of play, Dominic Solanke opening the scoring with a superb header before Gordon equalized three minutes later.

The former Bayern and PSG manager also had an eye on England’s young guard, with the presence of Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall, both recently called up by the Three Lions. Later in the afternoon, Gareth Southgate’s official replacement traveled to the south of the country to attend the match between Brighton and Arsenal. Thomas Tuchel will unveil his first list in March, to face Albania and Latvia at Wembley.
