Despite their clear victory against Le Havre (5-1), Sunday evening in Ligue 1, OM will not be champions, says Raymond Domenech.

The year 2025 is off to a very good start for OM. Sunday evening at the Vélodrome stadium, at the end of the 16e day of Ligue 1, Roberto De Zerbi’s players made short work of relegated Le Havre (5-1). An offensive festival in which Valentin Rongier (25e), Bilal Nadir (39e), Neal Maupay (43e), Elye Wahi (66e) and Ulisses Garcia (75e).

In the standings, the Marseillais take advantage of this success to come back to seven points behind PSG, winner this weekend of the Champions Trophy against Monaco (1-0). What will give them ideas in the title race? “I am someone who looks ahead, so I try to pull others with me”says Adrien Rabiot, cited by The Phocaean.

“We know the club’s objective which is to qualify for the Champions League. But we have to continue like this, collect the points. And then in this second part of the season, in my opinion, anything can happen. So we have to keep this mentality which is right at the moment”adds the very ambitious French international midfielder.

“They will not be champions”

Too much ? This is the opinion of Raymond Domenech, who does not see the Ciel et Blanc dethroning Paris Saint-Germain. Nor even tickle him.
“What matters to them are those who are behindestimates the former coach of the Blues, in the show The Evening Team. They will not be champions. You shouldn’t even try, it’s useless. »

“They can look ahead but they will never see what is in front of them, it will be too faradds the consultant. They, their championship, it’s against Monaco and Lille – Lyon, I don’t believe it. These are the teams that can compete with them. » The kind of speech that could motivate the Phocaeans in this second half of the year.
