Manchester City have targeted a new defensive recruit for this winter: Abdukodir Khusanov. The central defender of RC Lens, observed by several European clubs, is also in the sights of the Citizens.
According to information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Uzbek international and the English champion have maintained discussions with a view to a possible transfer. Negotiations have already started between the different parties involved, namely Khusanov’s entourage, the Lens leaders, and those of City.
Nothing is done for Khusanov
However, the transfer window specialist specifies that the talks have not yet reached a decisive milestone. The native of Tashkent therefore still remains relatively available for his other suitors.
Since the start of the season, the 20-year-old has played 16 matches with the Sang et Or. Author of solid performances with the northern club, he notably allowed his team to take the advantage against Paris Saint-Germain in Coupe de France, before his team was eliminated on penalties (1-1, tab 3-4).
