Raymond Domenech tempers Marseille’s ambitions in Ligue 1 and judges Paris Saint-Germain untouchable.

Olympique de Marseille does not convince everyone. Currently enjoying good momentum, the Marseille club, with five wins in six matches in all competitions, occupies second place in the Ligue 1 standings, seven points behind Paris Saint-Germain, leader. However, some observers, like Raymond Domenech, do not believe in Ciel et Blanc’s chances of winning the title.

The former coach of the France team judges the team led by Roberto De Zerbi still a notch below PSG. The Lyon technician thus urges OM to focus more on their main pursuers, namely AS Monaco (3rd) and LOSC (4th).

An intense month of January for OM

“They won’t be champions, there’s no point looking ahead. Their championship is played with Lille and Monaco, but that’s it, not even with Lyon because Lyon, I don’t believe in it. They will never see what is ahead, it will be too far away”judged Domenech for The Evening Team.

The rest of January will not be easy for the residents of the Vélodrome. In the championship, they will first face Rennes next Saturday at Roazhon Park, before hosting Strasbourg and traveling to Nice on January 19 and 26. Between these meetings, a shock awaits them in the Coupe de France, with a match against Lille in the round of 16, scheduled for January 14.
