FC Barcelona is positioning itself to recruit Son Heung-Min, the South Korean striker from Tottenham, whose contract expires in the summer of 2025. According to TNT Sports And El Nacionalthe Blaugranas want to take advantage of Son’s contractual situation to bring him in for free.
The 32-year-old star player, who scored 125 Premier League goals during his career with Spurs, is eligible to negotiate a pre-contract immediately. Barça, limited by financial constraints, sees in Son a strategic opportunity to strengthen its attack without spending transfer fees.

Son Heung-Min’s contract in London runs until June, but no extension has been offered, leaving the striker’s future uncertain. With an estimated market value of 38 million euros (Transfermarkt), Son would be looking to take on a new challenge and, potentially, win trophies after a career marked by remarkable individual performances but few titles.
Negotiations with Barca could offer this opportunity, although neither club would offer him a contract of more than two years due to his age.
