Ansu Fati will be unable to leave Barcelona on loan in 2025 as negotiations with Sevilla have stalled.

Fati is reportedly open to a move away as he struggles to secure a regular place in Hansi Flick’s plans.

The Spain international has seen his career impacted by constant injury problems and his meteoric rise has been blocked at club and country.

Flick admitted his concerns over the 22-year-old’s ability to return to his previous level as he plays a peripheral role in his team.

A six-month move to Sevilla had been mooted as an option to revive his form and allow Barcelona to monitor his progress.

Ansu Fati will not move

However, according to a sensational update from Diario Sport, Barcelona have halted negotiations with their Andalusian rivals.

One of the main reasons for Barcelona’s stance is their alleged frustration at Sevilla joining other La Liga clubs in threatening legal action if Dani Olmo is re-signed by La Liga.

The Spain international has had his request to be involved with Barcelona in early 2025 rejected and the Catalan giants have taken a tough approach towards clubs they believe are putting undue pressure on the situation.
