After qualifying on penalties against RC Lens in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France in Bollaert, Paris Saint-Germain is launching its 2025 with a shock. In Doha, the capital club is preparing to challenge AS Monaco, this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. (French time), as part of the Champions Trophy. With a full squad despite rumors of the departure of certain players (Kolo Muani, Skriniar), the reigning French champions will be keen to win to offer themselves a new trophy. An ambition similar to that displayed by Adi Hütter.

“It’s a final. Against the leader of Ligue 1, so we can’t wait to play it. The preparation was normal. We know what we have to do.”had notably assured the Monegasque technician, just extended until June 2027, at a press conference. For this meeting, the Austrian will however have to do without Mawissa, Balogun, Diop and Diatta, all injured and unavailable. From then on, ASM should present itself in 4-2-3-1.

Monaco with Majecki and Ben Seghir, PSG with Barcola and Donnarumma

In the cages, Majecki is tipped to start. Just like the asemist defensive quartet composed of Vanderson, Kehrer, Salisu and Caio Henrique. In the midfield, Camara should be associated with Zakaria while Ben Seghir, Golovin and Akliouche will accompany Embolo, alone at the forefront of the attack. For his part, Luis Enrique, who can count on his entire group, could favor a 4-3-3 with Donnarumma in goal.

In defense, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho and Nuno Mendes are expected. In midfield, Vitinha and Joao Neves should be accompanied by Fabian Ruiz. Finally, Dembélé is expected to start on the right side of the Parisian attack. Just like Barcola, preferred to Doué, to start this meeting on the left. Gonçalo Ramos, decisive since his return to competition, is also announced as a starter on the attacking front. As a reminder, AS Monaco suffered a defeat against PSG in Ligue 1 on December 18 (2-4).
