After an almost perfect month of December and studious holidays, theMarseille Olympic sets the table again for its first match of the year in Ligue 1. The Marseille club faces Le Havre to try to gain some distance from AS Monaco at the top of the table.

A match within the reach of Marseille, on paper. But with which starting eleven? Two elements will be scrutinized in Roberto De Zerbi’s choices. The animation, first. By swapping his 4-man defense for a 3-4-3 pattern, the Italian technician has found a formula which seems to be bearing fruit. He should keep it for this new meeting at the Vélodrome.

A significant absence for OM

In the choice of men, then, strong decisions are expected. If the Rulli, Balerdi and Greenwood executives are expected in each line, OM must do without its hub
Hojbjerg, who should be replaced by Koné.

Other elements will have a hand in confirming their growing influence in this organization. This is the case of Luis Henrique, astonishing in a role of right piston as a counterpart to Merlin. Rongier should also continue in the middle, while Rabiot is expected to play a little higher up. Finally, Maupay should still be preferred to Wahi on the attacking front.

The expected lineup for OM : Rulli – Murillo, Balerdi (c), Cornelius – Henrique, Rongier, Koné, Merlin – Greenwood, Maupay, Rabiot.
