OM corrected Le Havre in the closing match of the 16th day of Ligue 1, this Sunday evening.

This Sunday evening meeting could be described as a clash of extremes. Before this meeting, the Olympians were in second place in the ranking, with 30 points, tied with Monaco. For its part, Le Havre remained, at the initial whistle, on a series of four consecutive defeats, the last of which against Saint-Brieuc (N2) in the cup. The Normans were penultimate in Ligue 1 before this shock and we can say that the hierarchy was respected this evening…

Because after having stumbled for 25 minutes against a Breton team cowering in defense, OM managed to find the fault thanks to Valentin Rongier. Bilal Nadir and Neal Maupay worsened the score to allow the Marseille club to take off after 45 minutes of debate.

After two other goals from OM in the second half, Joujou overflowed on the right and crossed perfectly towards the penalty spot where André Ayew scored with his head for his return to the Vélodrome. The Ghanaian was also acclaimed by the Vélodrome. 5-1, final score, OM put out a more than convincing performance against a HAC team that was still disappointing.
