Lens cracks, Strasbourg and Angers revive

The resumption in Ligue 1 turned into a nightmare for RC Lens, surprised at Bollaert by TFC after two uses of VAR which changed the face of the match. It was first the expulsion of Pereira Da Costa which was judged on video assistance, encouraging Mr. Ben El Hadj to show the red card (61e). Then an alleged charge by Sarr on Aboukhlkal – initially not noted by the referee – motivated the intervention of the VAR to indicate a clear error, therefore prompting a penalty…

Aboukhlal was responsible for carrying out the sentence (0-1, 73e), for a Toulouse victory which brings the Violets back to the level of their opponents of the day, seventh in the ranking six lengths from the podium. With three units less on the clock, in ninth position, the Auxerres missed the mark, beaten by the Strasbourgers at Meinau (3-1).

The SCO comes out of the red

If Traoré opened the scoring for AJA (14e), the Alsatians turned the tide through Diarra (45e+4 on penalty), Lemaréchal (59e) and Emegha (87e), thus rising to 10e rank, in the wake of the Burgundians. Great operation also for Angers, which leaves the red zone and deposits Nantes there after its meritorious victory over Brest (2-0). Lepaul (6e) and Niane (90e+5) are the heroes of the SCO, 14e now one point ahead of the jump-off place, three lengths behind an SB29 12e.
