The Brazilian Serie A club have made an offer for Sheffield Wednesday striker Josh Windass, according to GiveMeSport. The England striker has scored ten Championship goals this season, including one in his own half, and has attracted the attention of the Brazilian giants. Windass could be a surprise signing for Santos fans after the club were linked with a move for their former prodigy Neymar.

A fairytale return to Santos for Neymar appears to be on the way, with the Brazilian apparently giving the green light for a move in January. However, with the club now looking to sign Windass – who signed a new contract at Wednesday in the summer – for a likely hefty fee, plans to bring Neymar home may have to be put on hold.

Windass or Neymar?

Brazil’s all-time top scorer is under contract with Al-Hilal until the summer and Santos could wait until his contract expires to sign him.

Neymar was briefly announced as the new signing of Brazilian club Coritiba on Friday evening. However, the Serie B team’s website was hacked and the news was not true – to the disappointment of Coritiba fans. Even if this time it was wrong, a return to Brazil seems inevitable for Neymar.
