After a fairly lackluster half-season for Benfica, former Troyes and Marseille full-back Issa Kaboré should join Werder Bremen on loan from Manchester City. Arriving at the Skyblues in 2020, the Burkinabé defender has still not managed to find credit in the eyes of Pep Guardiola, and would therefore embark on a sixth adventure on loan after Mechelen, Troyes, Marseille, Luton and therefore Benfica.
The left back was one of the priorities of Werder’s management since the summer transfer window, and the termination of the loan by Benfica after seven matches played in four months would have made it possible to accelerate negotiations between the German club and Manchester City. An interesting reinforcement for a Werder team which is having a superb season in the Bundesliga, just two points from the top 4.
