Everything and its opposite have been said in this matter but it is the Spanish Football Federation which has the last word. Despite multiple appeals from FC Barcelona and attempts to find economic solutions, the RFEF has just communicated its decision and does not agree with the Catalan club. Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will not be registered to play in the national and international competitions in which the Blaugranas participate for the second part of the season.

The Monitoring Commission undertakes not to grant the prior visa or the definitive license requested by FC Barcelona to the players Mr. Daniel Olmo Carvajal. and Mr. Pau Víctor Delgado in accordance with the interpretation of articles 130.2 and 141.5 of the General Regulations of the RFEF, which prevent a player, whose license is canceled, from being able, during the same season, to obtain a license in the same club to which he was linked» writes the report just published on its official website.

Barça lost their fight

On January 1, and in the absence of non-compliance with the rules of financial fair play put in place, La Liga had removed the names of the two summer recruits for the rest of the season. She had given the club a few days to provide financial proof of compliance with this rule, which it was not able to do. Joan Laporta and his teams can still continue their fight with the Administrative Court of Sport or with civil justice to request the provisional registration of Olmo and Victor.

In the meantime, this decision is a terrible snub for FC Barcelona. In accordance with the contract signed during his transfer (€48 million) from RB Leipzig this summer, Dani Olmo (26 years old) will become free and will be able to commit wherever he wishes. The Culés will still have to pay him his salary until the end of the contract which was planned, that is to say 2030. For Pau Victor, the situation is slightly different because he does not have a termination clause in his contract. contract which runs until 2029.
