Arriving in the summer of 2021 from PSV for €30 million, Donyell Malen is gradually losing his starting stripes at Borussia Dortmund. The speedy 25-year-old winger has only played 945 minutes in all competitions, spread over 20 matches (5 goals and 1 assist). With a contract ending in June 2026, Nuri Sahin’s club could have to make a radical decision this winter: sell him since there are courtiers.

This is the case of Aston Villa above all. According to The Timesnegotiations are already well advanced between the two directions. The English club made a first offer of €18 million, lower than what the BvB expected, i.e. a little more than €20 million. Despite its economic potential, the Birmingham team must play it tight due to the financial fair play in force in the Premier League. Unai Emery would like a player with the profile of Moussa Diaby, who left for €60 million to Al-Ittihad this summer.
