Real Madrid is upping the ante to attract Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool’s right back, this winter. According to The Sunthe Spanish club would be ready to offer an XXL salary to convince the 26-year-old player, whose contract with Liverpool expires next June.
Already paid 217,000 euros per week at the Reds, Alexander-Arnold could see his emoluments exceed this amount, although they would remain below Kylian Mbappé’s 300,000 euros per week.
A transfer this winter?
Liverpool, to avoid a free departure at the end of the season, would have validated the idea of a winter transfer. However, disagreements remain over financial terms. Real Madrid, determined to secure the England international, have reportedly submitted a new offer after an initial refusal.
Alexander-Arnold, presented as a priority for strengthening Madrid’s right flank, has yet to decide on this proposal deemed “insane” by observers.
