Real Madrid, however, have not made a single move in recent months: they are waiting for Davies to fulfill his promise to sign for them earlier in the year. Los Blancos reached deals with him in March, and those terms remain in place as things stand. Real Madrid will not increase their offer.

The Canadian left-back could be Real Madrid’s starter for years to come if he signs with Los Blancos. Fran Garcia is under contract until 2026, but is not considered a top option. In the meantime, the club have agreed, and even announced, a renewal for Ferland Mendy, but the French defender has been in and out of the team this season due to injuries and fitness.
