Between the Euro and the Olympic Games, the year 2024 was rich in emotions and the time has come to take stock at the very start of 2025. The Foot.Fr store has done its part and offers, as it has been doing this for several years, its traditional top 10 jersey sales for the second half of 2024* for its e-shop but also for its five physical stores located across the four corners of France. And as for two years, it is Olympique de Marseille which is at the top of this ranking, whose positions are generally established in the heart of the month of September when the bulk of sales are made. Despite its lack of qualification for the Champions League, the enthusiasm for the Marseille club continues. It must be said that these last few months have been very rich within the 1993 European champion club.

OM boosted by the arrivals of Greenwood, Rabiot… and the 125th anniversary jersey

Between the surprising and exciting arrival of Roberto de Zerbi, the XXL transfer window created by Medhi Benatia and Pablo Longoria (Højbjerg, Rabiot, Greenwood in particular) and the fantastic start to the season symbolized by the 5-1 slap in the face to Brest for he opening of the season, OM jerseys sold like hot cakes. And in the game of those who have heated up the flocking machine the most, it is Mason Greenwood, Balerdi, Rabiot and Hojberg who are the most popular. And what about the special 125th anniversary edition which was a real hit with endless queues in front of the stores. So many elements which make the current 2nd in Ligue 1 a major player in the sale of jerseys in France ahead of… Real Madrid.

The Merengue club is clearly benefiting from the “Mbappé” effect. The arrival of the 2018 World champion boosted jersey sales in France, also helped by his friends in the Madrid striker Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. Nevertheless, the first criticisms around KM9 at the start of autumn as well that the disappointing results of Real Madrid, particularly in the Champions League, caused a decline in sales at the end of the year. On the third step of the podium, still no PSG since it is FC Barcelona which monopolizes third place. Here again, the good performances displayed during Hansi Flick’s first weeks at the head of the club have propelled the Catalan club very high in the hierarchy. Barça also benefits from the Lamine Yamal madness. Rarely has a player under the age of 18 generated so much enthusiasm in terms of flocking. The Golden Boy is already the one who has the most jerseys bearing his image.

PSG ejected from the podium for the first time!

A standard bearer who is sorely missed by PSG which continues its terrible fall in the rankings by losing two places. The successive departures of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé obviously do not help to keep the Parisian flocking machine running at full speed. And the decline continues inexorably and the figures are well below forecasts at the national level even if overall the PSG brand and its jerseys continue to sell well internationally thanks in particular to numerous points of sale in the most prestigious cities of the world. Concerning the most popular players in Paris, we note that Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaire Emery, Ousmane Dembelé and Vitinha have done well.

Last year, Juventus ranked sixth. The Old Lady has completely disappeared this season, the fault of the absence of major players and significant performances. Quite the opposite of the Arsenal team which made a notable leap from 9th place to 6th place. The Gunners, who have always had a special place in France since Arsène Wenger’s invincibles, are benefiting from a huge return of hype after good performances in both the Premier League and the Champions League. At Manchester City, it’s not just the results that have been at half mast in recent weeks. Jersey sales are running out of steam. And if the Cityzens are 7th in the top 10 for jersey sales, Bayern Munich, behind, also loses a place (7th) and Chelsea who make a resounding return to the top 10, like the Blues’ performance these past recent weeks. To complete the top 10, we find AC Milan in 9th and a surprising French club which closes this ranking in tenth position, namely RC Lens. The Artesian club, which has supporters who are among the most loyal and demonstrative in France, benefits from an incredible level of sympathy beyond the North of France and is once again placed in a good position like the year previous.

*This ranking is taken from sales statistics for Foot.Fr online and its 5 stores. These statistics only take into account sales of jerseys from the current season (men, women and juniors) from their launch until December 31, 2024.
