FC Barcelona are currently going through a major crisis, having failed to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Victor before Tuesday’s deadline.
Although the club still considers the situation open, it has led to widespread criticism of president Joan Laporta.
Laporta weakened
This is not the first time that supporters have turned against Laporta, but the situation remains very bitter. The pressure rests firmly on his shoulders, as the club’s financial situation does not appear to be improving. Despite this, Sport announced that he had no plans to resign as president.
If Laporta does not resign, he would remain at the head of the club until at least 2026, when the next presidential elections will be held. If Olmo and Victor are not registered, he will surely have a hard time being re-elected by the members of FC Barcelona.
