Paris Saint-Germain has decided to go on the offensive to acquire Mohamed Salah, currently at the end of his contract with Liverpool next June. According to several reliable sources, the Parisian club would have made a colossal salary offer to attract the Egyptian striker, who could become a key player at the Parc des Princes.
A record offer to seduce Salah
While Liverpool offers him a two-season extension with a salary of 400,000 euros per week, PSG is ready to outbid spectacularly. According to journalist Romain Collet Gaudin, Paris is offering a three-year contract at a rate of 500,000 euros per week, or a total of 78 million euros over three seasons. At 32, Salah could join the Parisian club as a free agent next summer.
This maneuver by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi could give PSG a strategic advantage against other suitors or against Liverpool which is reluctant to revise its offer upwards.
A key player and an exceptional season
Under the direction of Arne Slot, Salah continues to shine with Liverpool, largely leader in the Premier League and the Champions League. With another phenomenal season, the Egyptian is establishing himself as one of the best players in the world, and his departure from Anfield could shake up the summer transfer window.
However, some observers believe that this offer from PSG could also be used by Salah’s entourage to put pressure on the leaders of the Reds and obtain a better extension.
What future for Salah?
The ball is now in Salah’s court, who will have to choose between staying at his current club where he has reached heights, or taking on a new challenge at PSG, alongside world-class players in a project that focuses on ambition European.
