Barcelona have refused to extend the deadline to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season. The Catalans are waiting for the green light from La Liga, with just a few hours to go before the deadline.

Double punishment for Olmo

The Catalan giants confirm they have asked the RFEF for new licenses for Olmo and Victor, although they have yet to be granted. Barcelona have agreed to sell some of their VIP boxes for the next 20 years at Camp Nou to a Qatari fund for around 100 million euros. La Liga is currently reviewing the documentation, having requested proof that payment has been made.

If these licenses are not granted in time, neither Olmo nor Victor will be able to play for the rest of the season. There is a double whammy in the case of Olmo, who has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for free if he is not signed up with his contract in full paid, although his agent has stated that he would stay at the club.
