Olympique de Marseille could strike hard on the transfer market by reactivating the track leading to Andreas Pereira, the Fulham attacking midfielder. After an aborted interest last summer, the Marseille club would be ready to come back with a re-evaluated offer to convince the Cottagers to let the Brazilian international leave, according to Brazilian sources.
Already the target of a €25 million bid during the summer transfer window, the 28-year-old, who has scored one goal and provided two assists in 17 Premier League appearances this season, remains a priority for Roberto De Zerbi, OM coach.
De Zerbi seduced by Pereira
A great admirer of Pereira since his time in the Premier League with Brighton, De Zerbi would like to make him his “new Mac Allister”, in reference to the central role he had entrusted to the Argentinian during his time at Brighton.
However, OM will have to face competition from Palmeiras, who dream of repatriating Pereira to Brazil. The Brazilian club are said to have planned an offer of 22 million euros, but persistent interest from Marseille could weigh in the balance.
