Mohamed Salah (32) should not leave Liverpool. Despite persistent rumors sending him to Paris Saint-Germain, the Egyptian winger is on track to continue the adventure with the Reds. At the end of his contract next summer, the man who is considered by many to be the best player in the world this season, has not yet given any clue regarding the progress of the negotiations for his extension with Liverpool. Despite this, Anfield legend Jamie Carragher has no doubts about the future of Salah and his teammate Virgil Van Dijk (33), who is also free next summer.
“I’ve gotten to a point with ‘Mo’ Salah and Virgil van Dijk, where I’m no longer bothered by what they say about the situation. I expect this to be resolved with these two players. Maybe I’m too optimistic. But I don’t see a world where Salah doesn’t play with Liverpool again next season.”Carragher told British television. Words which should surely reassure Reds supporters, who could already see Trent Alexander-Arnold leave in the coming weeks.
