Five clubs are ready to steal Dani Olmo from FC Barcelona

It’s D-day for Dani Olmo. Arriving at FC Barcelona last summer from RB Leipzig, the 26-year-old Spanish striker will find out this Monday whether his future in Catalonia is compromised or not. As a reminder, Judge Ignacio Fernández de Senespleda of the Commercial Court struck a major blow on December 27 by refusing to maintain the exceptional precautionary measure which had until then been granted to Barça. This measure allowed the Blaugranas to be able to register Olmo in La Liga until December 31.

By refusing to extend this favor, Spanish justice has therefore plunged Barça into a state of absolute emergency, even if there are two reasons for hope. The first is the verdict handed down today by the court in another trial against LaLiga. If it is favorable, the exceptional favor granted to Barça would be extended. The second hope is that LaLiga validates the plan proposed by Barça: namely the juicy income (€120 million) derived from the future sale of VIP seats and boxes at the future Spotify Camp Nou to a Qatari fund.

Another crucial verdict will be delivered today

However, if the verdict is not good and the Spanish league rejects Barça’s plan B, Dani Olmo will indeed be free to sign up with the club of his choice from January. Which would be a huge blow for the Blaugrana. A.S. reminds us that five clubs would be ready to jump at the opportunity. Yesterday, the name of Paris Saint-Germain was mentioned. Olmo’s profile would fit perfectly with the style of Luis Enrique who loves leather handlers and less Randal Kolo Muani.

The Spanish newspaper specifies that three Premier League teams are also in the mix: Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal. The two Manchester giants had been cited in recent days, while the Gunners are looking for offensive reinforcement since Saka’s major injury. Finally, Bayern Munich would also be in the mix. The Bavarian team is already preparing the future face of its attack and Olmo, who experienced the Bundesliga in Leipzig, has everything to please.
