The disciplinary committee of the French Football Federation (FFF) had a heavy hand in sanctioning Greens striker Ibrahim Sissoko.
Sent off against OM in 32e final of the Coupe de France, on December 22 in the Chaudron (0-4 victory for the Olympians), the Stéphanois received five matches of firm suspension.
A sanction accompanied by two additional suspension matches, suspended, for a bad gesture against Marseille defender Leonardo Balerdi, a bit provocative in the famous action.
Author of three goals in Ligue 1 this season, Ibrahim Sissoko will not play in January and will miss the ASSE championship matches against Reims, in Paris, against Nantes, in Auxerre and in Lille.
Note that the FFF disciplinary committee has already distinguished itself by its severity in this round of the Coupe de France, imposing a seven-match suspension on Rouen’s Mustapha Benzia for throwing a ball at the head of Lille’s Gabriel Gudmundsson.
