Continuation of the 18th day of Serie A this Saturday evening. The Monza club traveled to Emilia-Romagna to face the promoted Parma on the lawn of the Ennio-Tardini stadium. On the Brianzoli side, the objective of this duel was to stock up on points to get out of the crisis after the dismissal of coach Alessandro Nesta and thus get off to a good start. The Ducali wanted to score valuable points to move away from the red zone. In a balanced match, it was Fabio Pecchia’s players who won the match (2-1) thanks to goals from Hernani (56th, sp) and Lautaro Valenti (90th + 8) who responded to Pedro’s equalizer Pereira (85th). Pablo Mari was sent off (64th).

In the other match played simultaneously, Genoa brought down Empoli in Tuscany (1-2) with goals from Milan Badelj (46th) and Caleb Ekuban (68th). Sebastiano Esposito reduced the score at the end of the match (74th). In the ranking, Empoli remains 12th, just ahead of its opponent of the day, Genoa, who is 13th. Just behind Patrick Vieira’s players is the promoted Parma in 14th position. Monza is still last in the Italian championship.
