Left out of the Manchester United group for three games by coach Ruben Amorim, Marcus Rashford sees his future written in dotted lines at Old Trafford. In an interview with journalist Henry Winter on December 17, the English striker even said he was ready to turn the page.
“For me, I think I am ready for a new challenge and for the next steps,” he assured. When I leave, it will be like “no hard feelings”. You’re not going to get any negative comments about Manchester from me. If I know a situation is already bad, I’m not going to make it worse. This is who I am as a person”said the 27-year-old left winger. In parallel, The Guardian revealed that MU leaders have placed Rashford on the transfer list, leaving the door open for a departure this winter.
Zirkzee preferred to Rashford
In this context, The Sun reports that the child from Manchester would have been offered to Juventus in Turin. Thus, the Serie A club, in search of offensive reinforcements, would have been sounded out by the Red Devils for a transfer of the Mancunian number 10.
However, this offer was rejected by the management of the Old Lady. The reason? The Bianconero coach, Thiago Motta, would have another player in mind: Joshua Zirkzee, recruited this summer by United from Bologna. The Italian technician’s interest in the Dutch striker seems all the more relevant as he has already worked with him at the Rossoblù.
