The Catalans have secured a summer transfer to bring the former La Masia star back to Catalonia after a superb display at Euro 2024. However, despite a strong start at his boyhood club, his role at the start of 2025 is not not clear.

The club are considering sales in January, to register Olmo, after being told they had to increase their salary cap by €60 million to do so.

Olmo to City?

Barcelona are not convinced their appeal against a court ruling over the situation will be upheld and they are exploring several options to avoid an embarrassing departure for the 26-year-old.

However, with the player unsure of what is happening, his agent has reportedly taken matters into his own hands via the Daily Mail. His representative Andy Bara was spotted in Manchester – and despite the Croatian saying the trip was for personal reasons – links with Manchester City have been rekindled.
