Real Madrid, always looking for reinforcements for its midfielder, is closely interested in Éderson, the Brazilian nugget from Atalanta Bergamo. Despite the Italian club’s reluctance, the Madrilenians plan to go on the offensive to recruit the man some consider to be Casemiro’s successor.

An exceptional season with Atalanta

At 25, Éderson has established himself as a pillar of Atalanta, currently the unexpected leader of Serie A. With 23 appearances, 2 goals and 1 assist this season, the Brazilian midfielder shines with his ability to recover balls and organize the game. Qualities which earned him the interest of the biggest European clubs, notably FC Barcelona and Manchester United, in addition to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid, faced with Camavinga’s injury, sees in Éderson a complementary profile to strengthen a weakened environment. Juni Calafat, head of recruitment for the Merengues, has been following the player for several months, convinced of his potential to integrate into the Madrid midfield.

A complicated transfer but not impossible

Under contract until 2027 with Atalanta, Éderson is estimated at 60 million euros. The Italian club, aware of his importance, is reluctant to let him leave this winter. However, Real Madrid remain confident and could wait until the summer to intensify negotiations. The excellent reports from Madrid recruiters, as well as the ambition to compete with giants like Manchester United, suggest that the Éderson file will be a major issue in the next transfer window.
